Grading and Evaluation

Auto-grading is available for MCQs and coding simulators.

The grading logic can be set-up when you create a test. Marks can be allotted to each question. The option of negative marking is also available. Long answers and upload type questions which are not auto-graded can be manually evaluated. The total score, section-wise scores, and individual question-level scores are available in reports.

Customizable Candidate and Group-level Reports include:

1. Question-wise performance

2. Section-wise performance

3. Score distribution according to the difficulty level of the question

4. System generated inferences according to the candidate's score

5. Analysis of applicant strengths and weaknesses for an individual report

6. System generated inferences according to group scores

Exam Taking Experience for Students

The exam will start from the point where the candidate left with the remaining time and same question page.

Test-takers do not lose time if there is a connectivity issue. There is a configurable setting where you can allow students to resume low-stakes tests on their own and high-stakes tests can be permission-based as per your requirements.

Cheating Prevention

No, students are not allowed to take screenshots of the test and copy/paste when giving the test on a standard browser. In the case of Mettl Secure Browser (MSB), all right-click menu options, function keys, and keyboard shortcuts are disabled.

With the enabling of browsing tolerance, candidates are not allowed to navigate to any other website. We can also define a limit for browsing tolerance. Upon reaching that limit, the candidate's test will be finished automatically. Additionally, we can use MSB to provide the candidate with a lockdown environment which does not allow screen minimization and navigation. The access to search engines and social media accounts is barred inside the MSB, The MSB terminates all browsers and other operating websites upon its launch.

Navigation Warning

The Mettl Secure Browser disables all external ports, restricting the candidate from connecting any second screen. Also, the browser kills all the screen sharing softwares and websites, thus restricting the candidate from sharing the test window.

The Mettl Secure Browser does not allow test-takers to move out of the test window before the test is concluded. It also restricts students from opening any unauthorized website or accessing any blacklisted software/third party applications.

MSB also shuts down all active applications, such as other browsers and cheating tools.

In such scenarios, respective institutes and universities can issue a disclaimer about the number of times a student is allowed to log back onto the system. If done repeatedly, the management has the authority to terminate the exam for the concerned student. The exam can only be resumed after special permission is obtained from concerned authorities.

Mettl's AI-based proctoring solution provides 95% accuracy in detecting any instances of cheating.

Auto Proctoring

Our AI-based proctoring monitors the candidate’s live webcam feed, auto-flags a variety of cases like detecting a smartphone, another person in the background, or the absence of the candidate. It generates a score that defines the credibility of the test.

Auto Proctoring

Live Proctoring

A human invigilator supervises the exam remotely via webcam in live proctoring. It comes with the functionality of pausing, resuming, or halting the test in real-time if needed. The proctor can communicate with the students through a chat window if they wish to seek clarification on any undesired activity. The proctor can also raise flags. Live proctoring comes with all the features of auto proctoring.

Live Proctoring

Our Email, ID and OTP-based multi-factor candidate authentication eliminates chances of impersonation.

Students need to click their picture, furnish an identity proof and share registration details.

The proctors, available round the clock, verify the photo IDs against the registration details to attest if the candidates are bonafide.

Proctoring

Institutes and universities ensure a dress code for the exam-takers. Additionally, the offline availability of the recorded proctored video footage can be accessed by authorized personnel. It can be used to examine any claim made by an applicant or vice-versa.

Yes, without any technical expertise, even the senior-most faculty can be trained at proctoring in no time. We successfully trained over 600 faculty members within a tight deadline of 3 days.

The proctor has a classroom view of the exam-takers. Students can raise their hands and the proctor can pause the test without any loss of time to answer any queries.

If anything is suspicious, proctors can choose to stop/pause/resume the exam-takers’ session. They can also ask the applicants to tilt their cameras/webcams to show them the workstations and surrounding areas to assuage their concerns.

Mercer | Mettl is RTI Compliant only concerning the administration and grading of MAT. For any other queries, you must reach out to the concerned institute or the management.
